Communication has always been one of my strongest qualities and a factor I contribute a lot of Motivo’s success to. Writing is a completely different story. I used to dread writing and would use copywriters for everything. However, writing is just a form of communication so I decided to think of it like that and started practicing. Progress has been made, but there’s much more to go. I picked up Everybody Writes last month and have been implementing tips from the author, Ann Handley. It’s a great book if you’re looking to improve your writing/online communication skills. Pick it up on Amazon or local bookstore.
I took a road trip through southeast Iceland for a week last month and have already started looking at open dates to visit again. The power and beauty of Iceland’s landscape gave me the mid-year head refresher I needed on top of a massive library of footage for a video I’m working on. I wrote a longer article on my personal blog if you’re interested in recommendations during your visit. I also recommend visiting Iceland soon since tourism to the country is on the rise. The Motivo CRM platform is our biggest focus this year and I want to make sure you’re using it correctly each month. Within 30 days one of our clients collected 8 reviews on Yelp making them one of the highest ranked companies in their area. This turned into a higher ranking in Google and an increase in daily calls and jobs. I want to see this for everyone using the CRM and the most important factor is making sure you add every customer to your subscription list. This is important because a lot of small businesses are failing to use a CRM or actively collect reviews. The biggest mistake a business can make is falling behind a competitor in the review department. So, please make sure you’re updating your subscribers list each month!
